Dear Kindle Community,

Welcome Kindle students, parents and community members! My name is Karolyn Mason and I am the PROUD principal of Elwood Kindle Elementary School! I am honored to have the opportunity to lead an amazing neighborhood school with a rich tradition of education and passion for serving children!

My passion for education and supporting the success of ALL students has been shaped over the past 21 years as a kindergarten, first, second, and third grade teacher, instructional reading coach, assistant principal and principal. But I consider my greatest accomplishment my family. I am happily married to my husband, Josh, and we have two children, Jake (17) and Emma (13). I will treat every child as if they are my own and will work tirelessly to ensure that all children have the best possible school experience here at Kindle.

My vision is simple: always do what is best for kids. Alongside of all stakeholders, I will work hard to ensure ALL students thrive, grow and learn through meaningful instruction, and a positive,nurturing school environment.
