    Quarantine Timelines

There is an updated quarantine flowsheet for the 21/22 school year. Quarantine guidelines are dependent on the status of Gloucester County's transimission rates. Standards and timelines for Low/Moderate and High can be found below. The new flowsheet addresses what these changes would be, and also gives guidance for vaccinated individuals.

    Vaccinations (Covid and otherwise)

Please send updated vaccination records to your child's school nurse in a timely manner. Mandated vaccinations must be completed in order for your child to attend school, unless your child has an exemption.

Please send copies or pictures of completed Covid-19 CDC Vaccination Cards to your school nurse. As noted in the flowsheets above, vaccination status has an outsized affect on quarantines.

Home testing kits will NOT be accepted for Covid-19

Over the counter Covid-19 testing kits have become more widely available at pharmacies. Unfortunately, self-administered home tests have no paper trail or guarantee of appropriate testing practices. Pitman School District will only be accepting laboratory confirmed test results from this point forward. Please visit NJ Covid Testing Sites to find a site near you.

    Covid Vaccination- Some Facts!

Covid-19 vaccination has been found to be VERY effective. Not only are you MUCH less likely to contract the virus, if you happen to be part of that very small percentage of breakthrough cases, you are MUCH less likely to have severe illness.

As of September 2021 in New Jersey:

    • Covid cases in vaccinated individuals account for only 2 tenths of one percent of Covid cases.
    • Only 5 thousandths of one percent of vaccinated individuals are hospitalized with Covid.
